Love takes hold of me,
Like a wooden sheet of canvas it consumes me,
Stretch it - Pull it - Feel it against my body,
Keeping me warm,
As the colours swirl my dreams over and over
Of a clear blue sky,
Long green blades of grass,
Raking the edge of my smooth skin.
In the distance I hear laughter
And china cups that tingle against their saucers,
I can feel hands running their fingers along the cold ivories,
Hearing the notes sing as Sam stands at the side of the piano.
It is love that has woken me up
To a world of silence.
